Nice shady park, but mostly dirt and gravel. Good spot for an over-night stop, but wouldn't care to stay any longer. The trains didn't bother us at all. Very friendly staff. WiFi worked great in my spot.

This is a terrific campground. I rarely rate a 10, and would have if there had been a little more privacy. The sewer hookup was a little funky: right in the middle of your site, so had to either crawl under the motor home or have a long enough hose to connect first and then back up or pull forward to your leveling blocks. Walkable to town and the boat tour to Goat Haunt in Montana. Don't forget passports if you're hiking to the lake: where we saw moose. We stayed three nights and would have stayed more if we had time. We were really lucky and had perfect weather!

We stayed here because they have rental cars available to those of us who can't take their rig on the road. The care was nice although somewhat pricey. Still cheaper than 2 people on the Red Bus Jammers, and you can go at your own pace. Was able to do the Hidden Lake hike at Logan Pass and couldn't have done it on the Jammer tour. I know, I know...it's supposed to be a campground review. The campground was very nice, and the staff was very friendly, although a couple of them were very new and didn't know a lot of the procedures. Sites are good, although not especially level. F27 was OK. Can get VERY windy. The views were great. Everything worked as expected, including the WiFi. We'd stay here again.

A good overnight spot with gravel sites and fairly level. Very nice owners and staff will escort you to your site and point out the connections if necessary. Cable TV is available but we didn't use it. Wi-Fi worked great for awhile, but then became un-usable. Verizon card worked fine. Would overnight here again.

Another very nice Oregon State Park campground. It's a few miles off the highway, so was very quiet. We would definitely return to this one for more than just an over-night stop.

A tight spot for us. We arrived after dark, but didn't have too much trouble with getting setup. Friendly staff, and everything worked as expected. Wi-Fi was fine in our site in the B section. This was good for an overnight stop.

This is a tough park to get to. Signage to the park is not good, and it seems to run you through town, when it's really not necessary. We arrived late and had to pick a spot in the upper level as all the river front spots were taken. Nonetheless, the site we had was pleasant enough: pretty much dirt. Didn't really matter though, as we were only stopping en-route to Glacier National Park. Campground host was very friendly. The drive out to the freeway was much easier, as we followed our GPS rather than signage. If you want a river front site, need to reserve ahead.

We loved this campground. Lots of good easy hiking out of it, with the opportunity to see wildlife. We saw one black bear and a couple of moose in the lake 10 minutes (hiking) from our campsite. There is a store for supplies with in a few steps and the prices were right. Both days we hiked over to Many Glacier Hotel and the second day we took the boat trip with hike over to Grinnell Lake: really nice. We really hated to leave and would go back again in a heartbeat.

This is a decent enough park. There are four different loops with one of them pretty close to the road to McDonald Lodge, so there's quite a bit of traffic noise. Very few sites appeared to be level, so it may take some careful selection or a lot of work to get leveled. It's a good family campground.

Stayed two nights and would have stayed more if we had time. We arrived on a Monday afternoon without a reservation, and the campground was almost full. They would only let you book for two nights without having had reservations. Had space #40, in the middle of the campground. There is lots of space between sites, and there is lots of open space for kids to play. It's a great park for families and I understand why it's always near capacity. I would go back in a heartbeat. Nightly rate reflects senior discount.

Nice campsites with good separation. Excellent for families. Biggest problem we had was lack of cell/aircard wireless service in site #30. Per the website, there is AT&T wifi within a couple of hundred feet of the store, but we were too far away. I would go back if/when we don't need the cell/aircard service. This is a really nice regional park in the Oakland hills. I camped on a Monday and Tuesday night and it was practically empty, however one of the rangers said it's almost totally full on weekends now. I had one of the more remote full hookup sites, with 30 amp electric. The water pressure was a bit low, but not too bad. I agree that the roads are narrow with many sharp turns. I wouldn't recommend this park for large RVs. While it is generally quiet, there is some airplane noise from Oakland airport, but it's not bad. Didn't hear any noise from the firing range while I was there. Dog friendly park and pick up bags are provided at different locations in the park. There is a dog fee of two dollars/dog/night, but that's not outrageous. The park is well maintained by the rangers and maintenance crew, and it's well patrolled by the rangers and Tuesday night I saw a sheriff's patrol car drive through. I definitely intend to return.

Second time here. Arrived on Monday the 30th of March, and the cg was not quite half full. Had choice of either electric or dry camping and elected to go dry again this time. Had site #33, which is one of the pull throughs, and down in the main level of the cg. Great spot. It was windy both nights, but Tuesday night was REALLY windy. I was happy we weren't in one of the upper sites. We'll definitely go back. Nightly rate included a AAA discount and 9 per night for the three dogs. It's a VERY dog friendly campground.

I see it's been awhile since anyone rated this site. We elected to dry camp, as we felt that an extra $10.00 per night was too expensive. Besides, we have 3 dogs, and at $3.00 per dog per night, we decided dry camping was the better choice. There is a bi-directional dump station and a separate potable water source away from the dump station (I like that idea). We selected site number 104 which is on the middle tier of this three tier, and is parallel to the beach line, so the view was terrific. One end of this tier has hook-ups, and the upper tier has hook-ups as well. Those sites are pretty close together and that was another reason we chose to dry camp. We wished we could have stayed another night, and are making plans to return as soon as we can.

If you enjoy a parking lot with hookups, and don't mind the traffic noise from Pacific Coast Highway, then this is the place for you. The sites are very tight...there was barely room to put out the awning. But, it didn't really matter much, because the traffic noise made sitting outside a lost cause. We won't be going back.

A great Oregon State Park. We spent 3 nights there, and would have stayed longer if we could have. It was very clean, and the camp hosts do maintenance on a daily basis. The campsites are good sized and fairly level. We'd go back in a heartbeat!
